The CEC brand has existed since 1954. It suffered a lot during the transition from the turntable to the CD player, but in short it managed to stand out from the competition by treating the CD like an LP and presenting a series of belt-driven traction player of which some models have been in production since 1990 and are still on sale
The top turntables produced by this brand were performing and very aesthetically well looked after as this ST930 which is fitted as standard with an excellent Jelco 250D arm in the straight version.
It is a double frame, whose lower part in wood is decoupled from the upper part by die-casting through four shock-absorbing elastic elements.
The declared performances were very remarkable with a wow & flutter measure of 0.008 extraordinary for a belt drive.
The power supply is in a separate chassis that also contains part of the control electronics.
In really perfect condition, only a few slight scratches on the original cover.
